The Slack Time Picker block element was recently moved out of Beta which greatly simplifies the process of collecting time information from the user. This, among other features and bug fixes, have been implemented with v1.2.1 of Jaunt.
Features / Changes Since Last Update
- The Slack Time Picker block element has been implemented in the "Create an event" and "Add a car" dialogs
- Events can now limit the maximum number of drivers to accommodate parking restrictions
- The user who creates a Jaunt event now has their name displayed next to the event description
- Cars now include an optional 'Contact' field
- The /jaunt command now supports several subcommands, including 'help', 'create', 'close', and 'share'
- User timezones are now taken into account when interacting with date and time elements
Permission Updates
The users:read scope has been added to allow Jaunt to see what timezone the user is in. This is used only to convert their date and time inputs to GMT and is not stored in any way.
